Job description
Norrin is an AI integrator, enabling end-to-end Enterprise AI and data solutions that turn ambition into production and drive real productivity gains. We co-create the solutions, infrastructure, and adoption that make it stick. What brings us together is deep technical expertise, a creative engineering mindset, and a people-first culture. Norrin has strong roots in Finland while operating internationally across the Nordics, the United States, and APAC.
We’re looking for an AI Engineer to join our Applied AI team. The role and seniority will be shaped based on your experience, strengths, and interests. In this role, you’ll design and build AI solutions ranging from AI agents and large language models (LLMs) to more traditional machine learning systems. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, applying your software engineering and cloud expertise to deliver scalable and business-driven AI solutions. If you are already a more experienced professional, you may also take ownership of solution design and technical direction.
You’ll have the opportunity to develop your expertise with the support of senior specialists, and you’ll also become part of Norrin’s AI Guild community, where you can deepen your skills and share knowledge with other AI professionals.
In this role, you will
Design and implement end-to-end AI solutions, with a strong focus on agentic AI (custom agents, RAGs) alongside more traditional ML systems
Build and evolve Azure-based AI foundations that power agentic solutions across use cases (e.g. Azure AI Foundry)
Apply modern software engineering practices (Python, Git, CI/CD)
Deploy, monitor, and maintain ML systems in production (MLOps)
Design solutions that balance technical feasibility and business value
Integrate AI solutions with APIs, databases, and data platforms
What we’re looking for
3-5+ years of experience in software or data applications with an AI/ML focus
Interest or hands-on experience with AI agents and large language models (LLMs)
Experience in cloud development, preferably in Azure
Strong or growing skills in Python and modern software engineering practices (e.g. Git, CI/CD)
Experience with, or motivation to learn, MLOps and/or AIOps and bringing ML and AI systems into production
Solid understanding of APIs, integrations, databases, and SQL
A structured approach to problem-solving that balances technical feasibility with business needs
Fluent Finnish and English skills, written and spoken
Educational background in e.g. computer science, applied mathematics, engineering, or a comparable field
Nice to have
Experience or familiarity in AI governance
Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and containerisation for reproducible, scalable environments (e.g. Terraform, Docker)
Familiarity with PyTorch, LangChain/LlamaIndex, deep learning, and LLM evaluation frameworks
Experience working with data platforms and architectures, such as Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, event streams, or data warehouses
Background in structured testing methodologies to ensure solution reliability
Experience working in consulting environments, with the ability to collaborate with teams and support stakeholders
Prior leadership experience or interest in guiding others (particularly relevant at senior level)
Industry experience in sectors such as manufacturing, heavy machinery, or power generation
