Job description

Norrin is an AI integrator, enabling end-to-end Enterprise AI and data solutions that turn ambition into production and drive real productivity gains. We co-create the solutions, infrastructure, and adoption that make it stick. What brings us together is deep technical expertise, a creative engineering mindset, and a people-first culture. Norrin has strong roots in Finland while operating internationally across the Nordics, the United States, and APAC.

As a Data Architect, you’ll be part of our expert team, designing and developing modern, scalable data solutions in exciting client projects - leveraging the best of Microsoft’s technologies like Azure, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric.

You’ll get to work hands-on while also contributing to architecture decisions, data governance, and reporting solutions. Depending on your role allocation and client needs, you may work on one or more projects simultaneously. You’ll collaborate closely with our team and clients - sometimes guiding and coaching, other times diving into development work yourself. We’ll shape the focus of your role together based on your strengths and interests. Whether your passion lies in solution design, technical architecture, or both - you’ll find space to influence, grow, and thrive at Norrin.

In this role, you will

  • Design and develop data platforms and integrations

  • Define data models and architectural structures

  • Ensure solution-level data security and governance

  • Plan deployment and continuous development together with clients and development teams

We’re looking for experience in

  • Azure data platforms (e.g., Data Lake, Synapse, SQL, Data Factory)

  • Microsoft Fabric and/or Databricks

  • Programming skills (PySpark, SQL), version control, and CI/CD (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions)

  • Knowledge of data modeling approaches (dimensional, lakehouse, medallion)

  • Understanding of data governance practices

  • Basic proficiency in Power BI

  • Experience building data solutions in large enterprise environments

  • Familiarity with Azure security, networking, and access management principles

  • Fluent skills in both Finnish and English

In addition, depending on your focus

If your strength is solution architecture:

  • Experience modeling business-driven data requirements

  • Understanding of data quality and governance

  • Designing data-driven decision-making solutions

  • DBT expertise

  • Certifications like DP-600 or DP-700

If your focus is platform architecture:

  • In-depth knowledge of Azure and Microsoft Fabric architecture

  • Experience with data security, networking models, and access control

  • Ability to align solutions with client IT environments

  • Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform)

  • Certifications like DP-600 or DP-700
