Job description
At Norrin, we’re shaping the era of Enterprise Intelligence. Our vision is to transform business productivity through data & AI by creating solutions that deliver measurable impact. As a Microsoft technology partner, we are at the forefront of reshaping how businesses operate across the Nordics. What defines us is deep technical expertise, a creative engineering mindset, and a people-first culture. At Norrin, you’ll have the chance to grow in a direction that matters to you while building solutions that make a real difference. Our story began when Cloud1, Devisioona, and Smartbi united. Together, we are Norrin.
We’re looking for Junior Data Engineers to join our team and grow your skills with Norrin Academy, a learning path designed to help you build expertise through mentoring, certifications, and real project experience.
As a Junior Data Engineer, you’ll work alongside experienced colleagues to build and maintain modern data pipelines and platforms using Azure Data Platform services and Microsoft Fabric. You’ll learn best practices in data modelling, integration, and architecture design, and gain experience with version control, CI/CD, and modular development. You’ll have a dedicated mentor who supports your growth and helps you understand the thinking behind your work, how to scope, prioritize, ensure quality, and deliver customer value through data.
The program begins as a six-month fixed-term employment, during which you’ll gain hands-on experience, continuous mentoring, and tailored learning opportunities. After successful completion, there’s a possibility to continue in a permanent role, taking on more responsibility in designing and delivering customer solutions, guiding project implementation, and contributing more independently to Norrin’s technical community.
🧩 What we’re looking for
You may already have some work experience in data engineering or a related technical field, or you might be a recent graduate. What matters most is your curiosity, motivation, and ability to build on your skills. Previous experience from relevant field is valued, and any experience from a thesis, project course, internship, or other data related work is considered a plus.
You bring:
Hands‑on experience in Python and SQL, and PowerBI
Familiarity with data storage and processing systems
Understanding of version control (e.g., Git) and continuous integration concepts
Familiarity with Azure, modern data platform services and interest in Microsoft Fabric
Curiosity toward automating repetitive tasks and improving ways of working
Understanding and interest in business processes and how data creates value
A problem‑solving mindset and eagerness to learn from experienced professionals
